06/22/2021 NORD/LB finances its first “non-recourse” wind farm in Poland

NORD/LB Norddeutsche Landesbank has carried out its first “non-recourse” financing of a wind farm in Poland. The Janikowo wind farm is located in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie region in north-central Poland and has a total capacity of 60 megawatts (MW). The joint venture is jointly operated by the Danish wind farm developer Eurowind Energy A/S and the Polish company Windbud. The park will be equipped with 30 wind tur-bines from the Danish manufacturer Vestas.


06/04/2021 Jörg Frischholz becomes new Chairman of the Managing Board of NORD/LB

The Supervisory Board and the Owners' Meeting of NORD/LB Norddeutsche Landesbank today appointed Jörg Frischholz as the new Chairman of the Bank's Managing Board. The 45-year-old is currently the Board Member for Private Customers at UniCredit Bank AG (HypoVereinsbank) and will take on his new role on 1 January 2022. He succeeds Thomas Bürkle (68), who is leaving the bank at his own request when his contract expires at the end of the year.


06/04/2021 Ingrid Spletter-Weiß joins the Managing Board of NORD/LB

The Supervisory Board and the Owners' Meeting of NORD/LB Norddeutsche Landesbank today appointed Ingrid Spletter-Weiß as a new member of the Bank's Managing Board. Ingrid Spletter-Weiß (55) comes from Commerzbank AG and will assume responsibility for the Bank's corporate customers and capital markets business on 1 January 2022. She succeeds Günter Tallner (59), who is leaving the Bank at his own request when his contract expires at the end of the year.


05/27/2021 NORD/LB drives forward the Group's transformation

NORD/LB Norddeutsche Landesbank achieved earnings before taxes of minus 48 million euros in the first quarter of 2021. The consolidated result was minus 41 million euros. The contribution for the bank levy for the full year 2021, fees for portfolio guarantees and investments in the Bank's IT infrastructure were primarily responsible for the negative result at the start of the year. In the first three months of the previous year NORD/LB achieved a pre-tax loss of 65 million euros.


05/18/2021 NORD/LB finances large Finnish wind farm

NORD/LB Norddeutsche Landesbank has financed a large wind farm in Finland jointly with Commerzbank. The Karhunnevankangas wind farm is the largest onshore project of the Bremen-based wind farm financier wpd europe, which will be realized with a total capacity of 188 MW in the Österbotten region of western Finland.


03/25/2021 Despite restructuring and Corona impacts - NORD/LB with balanced annual result in 2020

NORD/LB Norddeutsche Landesbank closed the 2020 financial year with a consolidated profit after taxes of € 25 million. Earnings before taxes were € -13 million. In order to be prepared for possible consequences in connection with the Corona pandemic, the bank has significantly increased its risk provisioning in the 2020 financial year. At the same time, NORD/LB has continued to restructure the Group and has achieved important interim targets.


03/04/2021 Andreas Rehfus and Christian Veit leave Deutsche Hypo and hand over management to Frank Schrader

Frank Schrader, previously responsible for NORD/LB's Asian business, becomes the new head of the Bank's real estate customer business. He thus also assumes responsibility for the market divisions of Deutsche Hypo, which will be fully integrated into the Group parent NORD/LB.


03/03/2021 Rüdiger Fuhrmann retires

Dr. Rüdiger Fuhrmann, long-standing Head of Agricultural Banking at NORD/LB, is retiring at the end of March 2021. The doctor of agricultural economics has headed the Agricultural Finance division since 2005. He has held various positions in NORD/LB's Agricultural Banking Division since 1990.
