08/26/2026 NORD/LB significantly increases half-year profit – earnings before taxes rise to EUR 370 million

NORD/LB Norddeutsche Landesbank generated earnings before taxes of EUR 370 million in the first half of 2026. This exceeds the prior-year figure by 40% (prior year: EUR 264 million). Earnings after taxes (consolidated profit) also improved significantly during the reporting period to EUR 309 million. Compared with the prior-year figure of EUR 212 million, this represents an increase of more than 45%.

NORD/LB, the energy transition bank of choice, together with Banco Santander and ECO STOR have announced a financing package for the 300MW/718MWh Foerderstedt BESS site in Germany. The project – the largest ever constructed and financed in Germany – is set to go live in 2027.

On the same day as the publication of NORD/LB's Financial Year 2025 results, Moody’s upgraded NORD/LB Norddeutsche Landesbank’s Standalone Rating (“Baseline Credit Assessment”) from baa3 to baa2. The Bank’s Long‑term Rating of Aa2, which is linked to the Long‑term Rating of the German Savings Banks Finance Group, was confirmed.


03/19/2026 NORD/LB reports strong profit growth – Earnings before taxes rise to EUR 475 million

NORD/LB Norddeutsche Landesbank generated earnings before taxes of EUR 475 million in the 2025 financial year. This represents an increase of 36 per cent compared with the previous year’s figure of EUR 350 million and marks the Bank’s best result since the 2015 financial year. Net profit for the year amounted to EUR 506 million. The prior-year result of EUR 622 million was largely influenced by a tax effect resulting from the capitalisation of deferred tax assets.


01/20/2026 NORD/LB arranges financing package for battery energy storage project in Schuby

NORD/LB Norddeutsche Landesbank is providing the financing for one of the largest battery energy storage projects in Germany. In Schuby, located in the federal state of Schleswig-Holstein, project developer ECO STOR is constructing a battery storage facility with a capacity of 238 megawatt hours. The plant is scheduled to go into operation in mid-2026.
