Reports
NORD/LB takes sustainability matters into account in its corporate governance and considers material environmental and social impacts as well as sustainability-related opportunities and risks. Our sustainability reporting presents the sustainability matters material to NORD/LB, together with the related policies, actions, metrics and targets for the respective reporting period. The consolidated sustainability statement is prepared in accordance with the applicable legal requirements, in particular the requirements of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS).
Policy Documents
Our policy documents establish the binding framework for responsible conduct. They define the values, principles and regulatory standards that shape our daily work – from compliance and data protection to human rights and sustainability requirements. As a public bank, we are thus creating reliability, orientation and transparency for employees, partners and our customers.
Environmental
At NORD/LB, we consider climate and environmental impacts both in our banking activities and in our own operations. We have developed sector-specific decarbonisation pathways for selected emissions-intensive sectors within our financing portfolio. Financed emissions are generally calculated in accordance with the Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF) methodology. For scenario analyses assessing the alignment of our investment and lending portfolios with climate targets, we use the Paris Agreement Capital Transition Assessment (PACTA) methodology.
Social
We take responsibility for the people we work with – both within the organisation and throughout our supply and value chains. Our aim is to make social standards transparent, implement them consistently and continuously develop them further. To document this approach transparently, we publish key policies and reports that reflect our activities in this area.
