Dr. Karassek joins NORD/LB from SaarLB, where he most recently led the Strategy and Staff divisions as well as Finance and Controlling. Prior to that, he held senior leadership positions across various units of Commerzbank in Germany and abroad. In his last role as Managing Director at Commerzbank, he spearheaded the corporate client growth program in Europe and played a pivotal role in transforming the business segment. His career began at Bremer Landesbank.
With extensive experience in sales and a deep understanding of both client expectations and market dynamics, Dr. Karassek brings valuable expertise to NORD/LB. Among other outstanding skills, he is recognized for his strong knowledge of ESG topics and his close ties within the Savings Banks Finance Group.
