Effective January 1, 2026, Andreas Feiner will take over as Head of Capital Markets at NORD/LB. The 47-year-old business economist joins from PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where he most recently served as Equity Partner, member of the leadership team of the Sustainability practice, and member of the Delivery Board of the Consulting Solutions platform. He will report to Ingrid Spletter-Weiß, Member of the Managing Board of NORD/LB, and takes over the role following the handover from Martin Hartmann, who has decided to leave the bank.

NORD/LB and eight leading banks signed a combined £490 million refinancing package for London City Airport, located in the heart of the UK’s capital.

Yesterday, NORD/LB Norddeutsche Landesbank successfully issued a Tier 2 benchmark bond with a volume of EUR 500 million. The term of the bond is 10.25 years with a call option after 5.25 years. It carries a coupon of 4.375%, equivalent to a spread of 200 basis points over mid-swaps. The bond is expected to receive a "Baa1" rating from Moody's and an "A-" rating from Fitch.

NORD/LB Norddeutsche Landesbank generated earnings before taxes of €264 million in the first six months of 2025. This marks an increase of 20 per cent compared to the first half of 2024 (€221 million). Earnings after taxes also rose once again: as of 30 June 2025, consolidated profit amounted to €212 million, up 11 per cent from the previous year’s figure of €191 million.

Altogether, KfW IPEX-Bank and NORD/LB are making around EUR 122 million available to Rhein-Neckar-Verkehr GmbH (rnv). KfW IPEX-Bank has taken on the role of syndicate leader, while NORD/LB is also acting as account bank. Alongside the commercial syndicate financing, the European Investment Bank (EIB) is providing a long-term loan. Overall, the investment volume of the total procurement including the ordering of optional vehicles and price adjustments tops EUR 400 million.

NORD/LB Norddeutsche Landesbank (NORD/LB) and the European Investment Bank (EIB) have today announced a significant partnership aimed at accelerating the transition to clean energy across the European Union. The new financing will back new small and medium-sized renewable energy projects throughout Europe.

NORD/LB Norddeutsche Landesbank generated earnings before taxes of EUR 356 million in the 2024 financial year. This once again exceeded the previous year's result (EUR 271 million) with an increase of over 30 per cent.

At its meeting yesterday, the Supervisory Board and the Owners’ Meeting of NORD/LB Norddeutsche Landesbank decided to extend the contract of CEO Jörg Frischholz ahead of schedule by a further five years until 30 June 2030.

NORD/LB Norddeutsche Landesbank is financing its first battery storage system in Germany. The facility is being built in Stendal (Saxony-Anhalt), around 60 kilometres north of the state capital Magdeburg.
