Settlement Process
What role does my custodian play?
Your custodian plays a central role in the settlement process. It ensures that securities and cash payments can be delivered or received within the required timeframes. For questions regarding your individual settlement processes, deadlines, or technical requirements, please contact your custodian directly.
Transactions involving a Third-Party Custodian
Custody with NORD/LB
If your custody account is maintained directly with NORD/LB, we are currently working with our service provider to optimize existing processes. Particular consideration is being given to the time requirements arising from the T+1 settlement cycle.
Once the future processes have been fully agreed upon, we will provide further information accordingly.
If your individual settlement processes already involve specific requirements or coordination needs, please feel free to contact us using the contact details provided below.
Custody with a Third-Party Bank
Particular attention is required for transactions where securities are not held with NORD/LB but with a third-party custodian.
In such cases, the information required for settlement must be exchanged between the client, broker, and custodian within the shortened regulatory deadlines. This particularly includes:
- Settlement Instructions
Especially in third-party custody arrangements, close coordination between all involved parties is recommended to ensure timely processing of transaction data and to avoid potential settlement fails.
