What data protection rights do you have?
1. Rights of data subjects pursuant to Art. 15 – 20 GDPR
You have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
- Right to information (Art. 15 GDPR): You have the right to receive information from us about whether and which personal data about you is being processed.
- Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR): You can request the rectification of inaccurate or incomplete personal data concerning you.
- Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR): You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data, provided that the legal requirements are met.
- Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR): You can request the restriction of the processing of your personal data if certain conditions are met.
- Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR): You have the right to receive the personal data concerning you that you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and to transmit it to another controller.
Please note that the restrictions in accordance with § 34 and § 35 of the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) apply to the right to information and the request for deletion.
In addition, you have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of your personal data violates the GDPR. The responsible data protection supervisory authority for NLB is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Lower Saxony.
2. Right of revocation in accordance with Art. 7 (3) GDPR
If you have consented to the processing of your personal data by us, you have the right to withdraw this consent at any time. The withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of the processing of your personal data that has taken place up to that point. In addition, it remains possible to continue processing this data based on other legal bases, such as to comply with legal obligations (see section "Legal bases for processing").
3. Right to object in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR
You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data at any time if this is carried out based on Art. 6 (1) (e) GDPR (data processing in the public interest) or Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (data processing based on a balancing of interests) and you can cite reasons arising from your specific situation.
In the event of an objection, we will only continue to process your personal data if we can demonstrate compelling and legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms. Alternatively, further processing is permissible if it serves to assert, exercise or defend legal claims.
