Important information for all NORD/LB customers.

In the period from 20 to 22 May 2022, our ATMs, self-service devices and online banking (including the S-Invest app and S-App) will not be available or will only be available to a limited extent for technical reasons. The restrictions may also affect debit and credit cards or the use of payment services. We kindly ask you for your understanding.

In 2017, Norddeutsche Landesbank - Girozentrale - (NORD/LB) and Bremer Landesbank Kreditanstalt Oldenburg - Girozentrale - (BLB) merged under the umbrella of NORD/LB. In the period from May 20 to 22, 2022, the technical merger of the two institutes will be carried out. In the process, the accounts of BLB will be transferred to NORD/LB.

Important notes and information for customers of the former Bremer Landesbank

The following is an overview of the changes and actions required as a result of the merger.  

Account details

From 23 May 2022, the BLZ 250 500 00 (= bank code) with the BIC NOLADE2HXXX will apply. The IBANs of your accounts will change due to the change of the bank code. In individual cases, a new account number will be assigned for technical reasons. We will inform you of your new account details by mail.

Payment Transactions

SEPA- Payment transactions

We will forward incoming and outgoing payments from your previous account to your new account. However, please inform those persons and companies who send you payments via bank transfer or standing order or receive payments via direct debit of your new IBANs by the end of the year. From May 23, 2022, forward, please submit your own direct debits and collective transfers using your new IBAN. Outgoing standing orders will be converted automatically.

Cross-border payments (outside the SEPA zone)

We will forward payments received to your old bank account to your new account by the end of June. Please immediately inform all persons and companies who send you payments via bank transfer or standing order your new account details. Outgoing standing orders will be converted automatically.

S-Zentral

If you are clearing accounts via S-Zentral, we will inform your clearing houses of the changed account data. There is no need for you to take any action.  

Global Cash

If international payment orders are executed via Global Cash, the respective third-party banks must be informed of the new bank data. Companies using Global Cash will receive detailed information on this in a separate letter at the end of March. Please inform your third-party banks of the new bank data without delay.   

Cards

Debit Cards

Any existing debit cards can be used as usual until the expiration date. New debit cards with the new IBAN will be issued when the cards expire. The PIN will not change.

If the number of your account changes, existing debit cards will be replaced. The new cards and PIN numbers will be sent to you in May. This also applies to cards of authorized persons, if applicable. Please pass these on accordingly.

Credit Cards

All individuals who have been issued a credit card will receive a new card with a new credit card number and a new PIN. The new cards and the corresponding PIN numbers will be sent out in June. The old cards can continue to be used until the new card and PIN are received.

Electronic Banking

Please do not place any scheduled payment orders if the execution date is after May 20, 2022.

Banking Software

If you are using electronic banking software, you will need to update the settings with your new account data. If you use Star Money or SFirm, the software includes a changeover wizard.

EBICS

If you process your electronic payment transactions via EBICS, you will receive a new customer ID at the end of April. Please note the associated changes and important information.

Homepage, Online, and Mobile Banking

You can find information at nordlb.de, as well as the dial-in link for online banking. From May 23 on, this link will take you to the online banking of Braunschweigische Landessparkasse (BLSK), a company of NORD/LB - analogous to the S-App in the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe optic. In the S app and in the S-Invest app, it is necessary to set up your accounts again.

Miscellaneous

Please update your account information for online commerce and any payment services that access your accounts (e.g. Amazon, eBay, PayPal, Klarna etc.).

Operating restrictions due to the merger of the institutes

Below is an overview of the major restrictions associated with the merger weekend of May 20-22, 2022.

Electronic Banking

EBICS

EBICS access will not be available on May 21 and 22. Payment transaction files must be completed in full, signed, and transmitted no later than 1 p.m. on Friday, May 20, in order to still be executed. Incomplete orders will be deleted without notification and you will have to retransmit them. Please also note the following information: Changes to the EBICS procedure and important notes

Online Banking and S-App

Online Banking will be disabled on the evening of May 20 and will not be available on May 21 and 22. Target 2 payments must be made by no later than 2:00 p.m. on May 20.

Online Brokerage and S-Invest App

From the evening of May 19 up to and including May 22, no orders for new issues/subscriptions offered by NORD/LB can be processed. Online Brokerage will be offline in the afternoon of May 20 and will not be available on May 21 and 22.  

ATMs, SB-Devices

Our bank statement printers and self-service terminals will be out of service on May 21 and 22. The ATMs and cash recyclers can be used for withdrawals throughout the day, but there will be temporary restrictions on withdrawals. Cash deposits are not possible.

Card Business

As a precaution, we would like to point out that there may be restrictions on the use of debit and credit cards in online commerce or the use of payment services in Germany and abroad during this period.

Securities Business

From the evening of May 19 up to and including May 22, no orders for new issues/subscriptions offered by NORD/LB can be processed. On the afternoon of May 20, no orders, changes, or deletions can be placed.

Payment Transactions

Giropay will not be available from the evening of May 20 2022, up to and including May 22. As a precaution, we would like to point out that there may also be restrictions on the use of other payment services during this period.
