NORD/LB with further expansion of its activities in North Rhine-Westphalia

NORD/LB Norddeutsche Landesbank is expanding its activities in the federal German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. Thursday last week saw the official opening of the enlarged NORD/LB branch office premises situated on Düsseldorf's renowned Königsallee boulevard; this took place within the framework of a customer event attended by some 50 guests representing companies from all sectors of industry who made use of the occasion for personal on-the-spot talks.
"We are attracting a great deal of interest and positive feedback among small and medium-sized businesses in North Rhine-Westphalia", said Jürgen Machalett, Chief Representative and Head of Corporate Banking at NORD/LB. "Our customers appreciate the fact that NORD/LB has been continuously active for many years in the sphere of corporate banking and come through the financial crisis unscathed. We have continually increased the number of our corporate customer advisors in North Rhine-Westphalia, and are aiming for further growth here."
As part of a workshop, Oliver Bartholomäus (head of the Financial Solutions team) gave a presentation on NORD/LB's broad spectrum of concepts and approaches in the area of working capital funding. Corresponding optimization measures in this sphere are targeted at freeing up business-tied capital and thus boosting a company's liquidity.

Attractive conditions through development funds from NRW.Bank
In the course of expanding its business activities in North Rhine-Westphalia, NORD/LB has for the first time also taken out global loans with NRW.BANK towards providing development funding for SMBs. Corresponding master agreements providing for a total volume of EUR 100 million were recently signed with NRW.BANK, the development bank for North Rhine-Westphalia. This development funding can be made available to businesses with an annual turnover of up to EUR 500 million and based in North Rhine-Westphalia or intending to invest there; enterprises with public majority interest will also quality for development funding support. "These global loans now enable us to offer our customers here in North Rhine-Westphalia even more attractive financing terms", emphasized Mr. Löhndorf.
