As announced, Jörg Frischholz (45) will take over as Chairman of the Managing Board of NORD/LB Norddeutsche Landesbank on 1 January 2022. He succeeds Thomas Bürkle (68), who is retiring.

NORD/LB Norddeutsche Landesbank achieved earnings before taxes of 113 million euros in the first nine months of 2021. The consolidated profit was 122 million euros.

11/09/2021 Regional railway holding company BeNEX procures modern trains for Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg

New regional trains will soon run on the Nuremberg–Regensburg–Plattling line. Private rail holding company BeNEX has ordered 23 new four-car Mireo trains from Siemens for the regional railway line connecting Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg along the Danube. The trains will enter service in December 2024 for a period of 24 years. A consortium of banks finances the total investment cost.

10/11/2021 NORD/LB introduces cloud- and real-time-based li-quidity management system

NORD/LB Norddeutsche Landesbank is introducing a cloud- and real-time-based liquidity management system in the Treasury division. The Treasury division is responsible for managing liquidity, funding and in-terest-rate and currency risks. The division also has market access to the international money and capital markets.

09/15/2021 NORD/LB successfully launches first Green Pfandbrief

NORD/LB Norddeutsche Landesbank successfully issued its first Green Pfandbrief today. The benchmark bond with a volume of 500 million euros has a term of 5 years and is expected to have a Moody's rating of Aa1. The Green Pfandbrief is secured by a cover pool of real estate loans.

In the first half of the year NORD/LB Norddeutsche Landesbank continued its transformation course and achieved important interim goals. As planned, Deutsche Hypo was fully integrated into NORD/LB on 1 July 2021.

08/17/2021 NORD/LB and BayWa r.e. close financing of 50.5 MW Italian Wind Farm

NORD/LB Norddeutsche Landesbank and BayWa r.e. have successfully completed the financing of the Italian onshore wind farm “Serralonga”. The Serralonga wind farm is a joint venture between BayWa r.e. and Nisida and is located in the Campania Region.

07/27/2021 Markus Nitsche becomes new head of NORD/LB’s Singapore branch

Markus Nitsche becomes the new General Manager of the NORD/LB branch in Singapore. The 53-year-old economist joins NORD/LB from the real estate finance subsidiary Deutsche Hypo, whose London branch he has headed since 2011. He succeeds Frank Schrader, who was appointed head of NORD/LB's real estate finance business on 1 July.

07/01/2021 Integration of Deutsche Hypo into NORD/LB completed

As announced, NORD/LB Norddeutsche Landesbank has fully integrated its real estate financing subsidiary Deutsche Hypothekenbank (Actien-Gesellschaft), which was previously legally independent. The formal mer-ger of the two banks was completed today with the corresponding entries in the commercial registers. The decision to fully integrate Deutsche Hypo had already been taken by the Board of Management and the executive bodies of NORD/LB last year.
